One part writer, one part creative, I’m the one-woman show behind xoxojackie.com. When I’m not typing away, glue-gunning my next craft, or tending to my plant babies, I’m probably hunting down my next travel deal.
Everything here comes from things I have actually done. I document a year-long backyard transformation in Oakland bed by bed, I have renovated and modernized a multi-unit Victorian from the studs out, and I redesigned its garden from scratch. So when I share a plant-care tip, a DIY, or a place to stay, it’s because I planted it, built it, or have been there myself.
The writing side runs deep too. I hold a master’s in journalism from USC, and I spent ten years in content strategy for top technology companies before pouring that craft into this blog. These days I also create garden-planning printables through my shop, Studio Sand & Sage.
