I love minimalist jewelry and have been super simple over the last few months, wearing only two small necklaces. Recently, I was feeling a little adventurous and wanted to pump up my jewelry. Rings! Ok, ok, not a huge pump up, I know. But a handful of rose gold rings was exactly what I needed to add a little pizazz to my look.
Also, I always lose jewelry, is it just me? So instead of buying rings that will be gone a day or two later, I went to the craft store and bought a spool of rose gold wire and made more rings than one person could ever need. For around $4 I will have a countless number of rings. Each which take less than a minute to make! How sweet is that?!
MATERIALS
- Rose gold wire (16 gage)
- Wire cutters
- A few pens/markers in various sizes
- Emory board
STEPS
Tightly wrap your wire around pen until end matches with the spool. I found it easiest to wrap the wire around a pen to get a perfect circular shape. I tried a couple methods to start – first wrapping the wire directly on my finger. This works too, but the curves don’t come out quite as clean.
Snip wire. Most of my cuts were clean, but if your cuts end in a sharp or jagged edge, grab an emery board and buff to smooth the ends.
Put on easy minimalist rings! That’s it! This was just about the quickest DIY I’ve done
