It was just a matter of time before I started updating decor around my apartment. Just under two weeks in my home, I’m actually very comfortable spending all my time at home. As comfortable as I am, I still get the itch to make updates to my space. This morning’s activity – making over my dresser decor.

No I don’t have a ton of decor in storage in my small apartment, I like to periodically take a look at what I have in my cabinets pull things out and re-purposed them around my home.
While hunting, I pulled out a cute rattan basket and thought it would be a nice piece to layer plants on top of.

My apartment is pretty small. Just about 650 square feet, I think. Having so many plants in a small space, I find it’s important to group plants into clusters when decorating so they don’t take up my entire space. So for this space, I decided to keep my plants contained to the basket.

I paired two small plants with a larger rubber plant, I tried a couple of arrangements and landed on a set of succulents I purchased from Ikea a while ago.
Layering textures, sizes, and colors works well to create an interesting focal point.

Stay tuned for more redecorating!
