My last trip to Jamaica was an absolute dream. My girlfriends and I went on a girls’ trip that centered around relaxation – and the house we rented in Runaway Bay was exactly what we were looking for.
5 days relaxing in nature
We stayed in a rental villa called Hidden Bay. The property is located in Runaway Bay which is located on the north coast of Jamaica. A spectacular property with large traditional home and additional cottage for sleeping – the property was perfect for our group. The grounds were lush with native plants. Paths take you from house to pool, hot tub, and down to the beach via direct access! Amazing to have a private beach right outside our door.
We spent most of our days swimming in the pool, paddleboarding in the ocean, taking nature hikes nearby, soaking up the sun on the beach and just enjoying each other’s company.
To make our stay even more special, we brought in masseuses for a relaxing morning of pampering.
Visiting Jamaica
Jamaica really does have something for everyone – from skiing in the Blue Mountains to exploring marine life off its coasts. It’s no wonder why it has been a popular tourist destination for years!
Aside from the usual tourist spots like Kingston or Negril, Runaway Bay offers everything you need for a peaceful escape without being too remote or secluded.
Renting in Runaway Bay
The town itself is quite small but offers plenty to do if you’re looking for some fun amidst all that relaxation. Shopping, snorkeling, golfing and kayaking are all great activities to enjoy while here, as well as sampling some traditional Jamaican dishes – jerk chicken anyone?
If chillin’ out is your style then look no further than Runaway Bay. Our house had chef and staff included – which made our stay even more amazing with their attentive service throughout our stay – or you can rent one of many houses here that offer similar services for complete relaxation.
With its natural beauty, friendly locals and plethora of activities at hand – not to mention incredible food – Jamaica makes a perfect destination for a relaxing tropical vacation with friends or family!
